TECHNIQUE

Focus on developing proper right and left hand techniques that will make any level of play attainable.

Left Hand:
- Proper positioning, effective and efficient methods for enhancing speed, sound, and ease of playing.
- Exercises that greatly accelerate your progress by developing strength and control
- Learn to harness the tremendous power of muscle memory

Right Hand:
- Basic and Advanced plucking techniques that will give you a very wide range of sounds, tones and possibilities to work with, including:

Apoyando
Tirando
Tremolo
Tamboura
Alzapua
Picado
Golpe
Rasgueo
Advanced Double Arpeggiation etc.

THEORY & EAR TRAINING

Theory:
Basic to Advanced. Intervals, Chord Building, Scale Harmonization, Key Identification, Progressions, Transitions, Substitutions, Voicings, Simple and Complex Modulation, Improvisation, Solo Construction, Advanced Songwriting etc.

Ear Training:
Focus on recognizing intervals, chords and progressions so that you will have the ability to simply hear a song and be playing it immediately, before the song itself finishes. Step by step instruction and in-lesson tests/practice to develop your ear into a razor sharp tool that will perceive with clarity the structure of any song you hear.

LESSON INFORMATION

Technique and knowledge of theory in tandem with ear training will greatly enhance your understanding, playing ability, as well as your depth of enjoyment of music, giving you endless hours of pleasure with your guitar. Lessons are given in a spacious and very comfortable studio with all the resources you will need to begin or continue your study of the guitar. I offer an introductory lesson at no charge to give you the opportunity to see what is offered and if it suits your current needs.
